Happy Friday!
As I am writing this, Carter and I are celebrating our four-year wedding anniversary, which feels both impossibly quick and yet like we’ve lived a million lives since that unseasonably warm winter day. I will never forget sitting by his side as our reception ballroom danced with candlelight, loved ones chatting over dinner, and a 12-piece band gently playing the old jazz standards. Oh how lucky are we to have such beautiful memories.
We’re also in full Christmas-party swing, ricocheting from gathering to gathering with equal parts joy and . . . well, exhaustion. My belly is a little rounder from the yummiest bites, my face a touch puffier from a few too many glasses of cabernet, and I’m also having so much fun. Despite the tiredness, I am embracing all the cheer and festivity while it is at its crescendo.
Here’s to keeping spirits (and energy) bright through it all!
Wearing | Rothy’s The Cozy Buckle Clogs
My new “outdoor slippers” —soft, cloudlike, and the only thing getting me through morning dog walks and evening wind-downs with any dignity (both often happen in my pajamas!).
Eating | Pigs in a Blanket Wreath
Quite literally the easiest, cutest, most crowd-pleasing appetizer you can trot out during holiday party season. I pulled this out for a little party I hosted this week for the Pure Barre teachers at my studio!
Reading | The Most Unusual Mysteries Series by Katherine Black
I’m deep into book three of this snackable, cozy British mystery series, and this one is dset at Christmastime. A cup of tea in book form!
Watching | Real Housewives of Salt Lake City
Peak. Reality. Television. The golden era is upon us, and I am fully, unapologetically obsessed with my group chat that is unpacking every single second of this show.
Listening | Jump and Find Joy by Hoda Kotb
I am listening to this audiobook alongside my Joy 101 app and I am loving every ounce of Hoda’s warmth—both as she shares her stories and the stories of others.
Trying | The Chastain
Known for its brunch, but Carter and I are venturing in for our anniversary dinner—consider me giddy to experience its evening glow and entrée menu.
Champagne | Cara Cara Pagoda Cape in Multi Camel Check
I spotted this beauty in a creator’s Blackberry Farm looks slideshow and, in true Cara Cara fashion, it was love at first (and second, and third) glance. The silhouette, the check, the effortless sophistication!
Frites | LC Lauren Conrad Riding Cape
A classic herringbone moment for under $35? Consider this the chic little sister to the splurge—still polished, still timeless, and shockingly affordable. Proof that good taste doesn’t have to break the bank.
