Happy Friday!
This week marks the first official edition of The Lauren Letter on Substack! A space that lets me skip the technical gymnastics of coding and formatting separate websites and newsletters and just create. It feels light, seamless, and exactly right — a return to what I love most: sharing stories and connecting with you about all things bright and buzzy and bespoke.
And this weekend, I get one of my favorite kinds — the dreamy, nowhere to be kind. Think: lazy mornings, popping into a few little gift shops around town I’ve been itching to check out, nestling into a good book, and preparing for some exciting seasonal content ahead (!). It’s a perfect blend of rest and creative inspiration.
If you too have an inviting, empty calendar and are in need of a little inspiration, don’t miss out on Your October Appointments. And, get excited — I am dropping a dreamy Your Sunday Itinerary this weekend! Be on the lookout in your inbox for all the deets.
With So Much Love,
Lauren
Wearing | Marc Fisher Lannie Boot
Sleek and structured, these boots by one of my favorite shoe designers are just the right mix of polished and practical for running errands and dropping by for drinks.
Eating | Little Rey
I went to both of their Georgia locations this week, and do not be shocked if you find me there again this weekend. And with glorious weather like we are having in Atlanta, Little Rey’s ample al fresco seating cannot be beat.
Reading | Weyward by Emilia Hart
A meandering, magical multigenerational story about three women, centuries apart, bound by secrets, resilience, and a quiet kind of witchcraft. It’s the perfect read for the week leading up to Halloween — haunting, beautifully slow, and (bonus!) available on Kindle Unlimited.
Watching | Nobody Wants This
And yes, even though my Netflix was mysteriously hijacked by someone in Thailand (RIP to my algorithm), I still didn’t miss the arrival of the new season.
Listening | Danny Pellegrino on Halloweentown
Danny Pellegrino’s Halloweentown recap — part of his A Very Merry Iconic Podcast series, captures every ounce of nostalgic holiday magic I crave this time of year. He and his co-host Jenna are absolutely hilarious — I literally laughed out loud in the middle of the groccery story listening. Subscribe and listen to his Halloween content now, and stay tuned as we roll right into the holidays with them.
Trying | Dogwood Hill Christmas Cards
This year I am testing out ordering my Christmas cards way ahead of schedule — and the Dogwood Hill birthday sale is the perfect excuse! Today is the last day to get 15% off orders of $50+ with code HAPPYBIRTHDAY. You get savings AND a check-mark on your to-do list before the holiday rush even starts!
Champagne | Barbour Beadnell Corduroy-Trimmed Waxed-Cotton Jacket
A classic Barbour jacket — an investment piece that, with a little care, will last you for decades. Timeless, versatile, and effortlessly chic, it’s the kind of wardrobe staple you’ll reach for season after season.
Frites | H&M Quilted Jacket with Corduroy Collar
Under $50 and such a steal. Cozy, stylish, and easy to layer, it’s proof that you don’t have to spend a fortune to snag a wardrobe winner.

I can’t get enough of Katie of Beach Reads & Bubbly—her takes are fizzy, her energy is sparkling, and that sweet Midwestern accent convinces me she’s an old friend from home. Following her feels like chatting with your funniest, most charming friend . . . except she’s also giving you the best book recs while you’re laughing so hard you spill your drink (which she of course recommended to you).

Love the Letter!!!🥰🙌🏻❤️
