There is an absolute magic in pulling the holiday bins down from the attic at the start of each season. Last year, I spent the season building out the foundation of our holiday home in partnership with Frontgate, and those heirlooms have become the pieces I look forward to unpacking most.
This year isn’t about starting over from scratch, but instead adding to what we already love. The best pieces sell out long before Thanksgiving, and I’ve learned that the holiday seasons I most enjoy are the ones where I finish all the logistics by the end of October!
I’ll share a full tour once everything is up, but for now, here’s what I’m investing in to get ready for the season, and how each piece will work alongside what we already have.
Our Home for the Holidays 2025
I’ve realized — slowly, sweetly, as I get older — that the holiday magic I remember so vividly from childhood was never an accident. The warm glow, the “everything feels enchanted” quality wasn’t nostalgia trying to trick me into believing in better days are those that have gone by. It was the adults in my life — let’s just say it, the women in my life …
The Lauren Letter will always be free. But if this space has become something you look forward to—a small ritual in your week, a source of inspiration, a reminder to approach life with more intention—you now have the option to support it.
1. Dogwood Hill Holiday Cards — We are finalizing our holiday card selections as we speak, and right now is the perfect time to order: Dogwood Hill’s Birthday sale is going on through 10/25 and you can get 15% off with code HAPPYBIRTHDAY2026.
2. Petite Keep Trunk — We keep every holiday card we have ever received and hole punch them each year, tying off with a ribbon and a tag. I got this personalized Petite Keep so we can place them underneath the tree and family and guests alike can take a trip down memory lane.
3. NEST New York Holiday Candle — My favorite holiday season candle is on sale right now for 25% off!
4. Furbish Studio Merry & Bright Needlepoint Pillow — The team at Furbish Studio just sent over this needlepoint pillow and it makes me feel so cherry and sparkly just looking at it!
5. LAKE Pajamas Poplin Piped Long Long Set — Is there anything like a new pair of Christmastime pajamas? I splurged to have this set monogrammed with my name, too!
6. Weezie Kitchen Towels — I adore Weezie’s “garland” motif; I can’t wait to have one of these towels over my shoulder while baking cookies!
7. Weezie Scallop Powder Bath Towels — Again, the same adorable motif for our guests to enjoy in our powder room.
8. Scully & Scully Herend Christmas China Mug — I notoriously keep our mug collection limited; however, an extra special Herend mug for my Christmastime morning coffee and nighttime hot coco feels like a little luxury that will brighten my entire season.
9. Nespresso Peppermint Pinwheel Vertuo Capsule — Peppermint coffee is a must starting November 1st!
10. Biscuit Christmas Memories Book — Not only is this a cherished keepsake to document family memories, but it also looks beautiful styled on a coffee table.
11. Ballard Designs Toulon Christmas Tree Urn — I snagged this urn because the similar version I own and used for the tree in our primary bedroom last year I have relegated to our front stoop!
12. Amyhill 13 Piece Christmas Blue White Wooden Nativity Set — I cannot believe we did not own a nativity! My office has unofficially become our “blue and white” room at the holidays, so I think this will fit in well there.
13. Handmade Nordic Gifts Rotary Candle Holder — These are the most magical, twinkly little contraptions that I love to have going all Christmastime long. They just mesmerize me as they twirl and fill the room with warm light.
14. Amazon Artificial Poinsettias — I’ve decided to inject some serious, festive red throughout our home this year, and these poinsettias will do a lot of that lift!
15. Weezie Patterned Tablecloth — While not a “traditional” holiday pattern, I couldn’t help but feel like the green stars in this linen felt remarkably Christmas-y to me!
16. Amazon Blue and White Ceramic Planter — I love placing a small tree in the center of our dining room table, and this planter will be the perfect vessel.
17. Ballard Designs Bellflower Taper Candleholder — Again, perhaps not a traditional “Christmas” look, but I feel like these insert a dash of whimsy that feels especially playful at the holidays, and they will continue to carry their weight all year long.
18. Amazon Green Hydrangea — I am excited to pop in some artificial cone hydrangeas into my dining room table christmas tree, along with some delicate ribbon!
19. Amazon Light Brown Cone Hydrangea — I am excited to pop in some artificial cone hydrangeas into my dining room table christmas tree, along with some delicate ribbon!
20. Hyoola Taper Candles — My favorite taper candles to burn all holiday season long, curating that perfect hygge feeling of warmth, comfort, and love.
P.S. I promise to always keep The Lauren Letter free as my little exercise of trying to make the world a bit more beautiful. If, in return, you could considering giving this post a “like” or share with a friend, it would just mean the world to me.
