Happy Friday!
BRRRR!
I am cold. Not figuratively, not poetically—just honestly, seasonally, bone-deep cold! The kind of cold that has me burrowing into layers of cashmere, wool, and down-feather duvets like a small, shivering Victorian child in a Christmas novel. Fire has officially transitioned from aesthetic accessory to functional survival tool.
This, of course, is not helped by the fact that my husband likes to remind me, as he turns the thermostat down to a glacial 65 degrees, that “we are not the Rockefellers.” I by no means am trying to represent myself as a victim, but if that’s the role I am cast in, so be it! I kindly reminded him that he can use all of our energy savings on an extravagent Christmas gift for me (cough, cough).
Thankfully, I am also finding myself within in a golden age for content. My evenings have become a cozy rotation of books, audiobooks, and television programming so good it almost makes me forget I can see my own breath. Almost.
Wearing | Mersea Chenille Set
The coziest, softest set I’ve ever owned. It’s definitely a higher price point for loungewear, but trust me — it’s worth every single penny. Twice this week I’ve tossed it in the dryer on high for ten minutes, pulled it on over freshly lotioned skin, and floated through the evening in an actual cloud. Bliss embodied.
Eating | Buffalo Chicken & Broccoli
A warm, saucy, comforting bowl. It’s Half-Baked Harvest at her absolute best. I love it piled on top of a scoop of brown rice.
Reading | Frozen River by Ariel Lawhon
Divisive on Goodreads, but I’m absolutely enraptured. A gripping blend of historical detail and quiet feminist fire — I cannot put it down!
Watching | Palm Royale
A scrumptious, sun-soaked escape to 1960s Palm Beach. Dreamy costumes, lush makeup, and plotlines that feel like candy. Truly shocked this gem flew under the radar in its first season — the production value and star-studded cast deserve far more fanfare.
Listening | Deluxe - How Luxury Lost It’s Luster by Dana Thomas
Slightly dated, but still a fascinating deep dive into how the modern luxury landscape came to be. A smart, engrossing listen that scratches the itch for fashion history, industry gossip.
Trying | Target Gingham Puffer
Spotted on a friend and immediately demanded the link. Shockingly chic — very Loeffler Randall–coded but for $45. The kind of high-low magic that makes you feel clever every time you zip it up. I ordered abouter 30-seconds after seeing it on her.
Champagne | Ruffoni Historia Hammered Copper Rectangle Roasting Pan with Lovebirds Knob
A forever piece that instantly conjures cozy kitchens and Thanksgiving afternoons. The hammered copper is heirloom-worthy, and the little lovebirds perched on top are almost too precious — a heritage detail that makes the entire piece feel like it was passed down with a story.
Frites | Hammered Copper Pitcher
A gleaming copper moment at a $30 price point — proof that accessible can still feel elevated. It shines as a centerpiece on any tablescape, adding warmth, charm, and that perfect touch of holiday glow.
The Lauren Letter Holiday Gift Guide 2025
Curating this guide is one of my favorite rituals of the season. Each selection is chosen with intention—pieces that hold a sense of luxury, a note of warmth, a hint of wonder. Items that feel considered. That feel like someone thought of you specifically
