Happy Friday!
Happy Halloween, friends! I hope your week has been filled with just the right kind of magic — a flicker of candlelight, the rustle of leaves underfoot, and maybe a little mischief in the air. This is the moment when pumpkins glow on porches, candy mysteriously disappears from the bowl, and the veil between cozy and spooky feels delightfully thin.
Earlier this week, I had the chance to see (and even meet!) my idol Hoda Kotb at the Atlanta Women’s Foundation Luncheon, and she shared something that’s been echoing in my mind ever since. She talked about how, when it feels like everything is going to hell in a handbasket (my words, not hers) she often repeats a simple mantra: “Good things keep happening to me.”
It’s her way of manifesting — and in turn, of noticing all the good things in her life that were already there: the parking spot that opened up right on time, her trainer being available early, her girls sleeping soundly through the night. In other words, sometimes the magic isn’t in summoning something new, but in seeing what’s already before you.
So here’s to a Halloween filled with spells of laughter, the enchantment of every day goodness, and, of course, lots of treats!
And speaking of treats: Stay tuned for an extra exciting giveaway launching on my Instagram this Sunday!
Wearing | Quiet Culture
I wore a Quiet Culture lounge set to a brand event earlier this week (guzzied up with some Gucci) and was showered with compliments — it’s the best take I’ve ever seen on luxury loungewear! You can truly wear it at home or out on the town and feel completely comfortable and confident.
And how cute is this sketch of me by Kathryn Heard?!
Eating | White Chicken Chili
There’s something about the first truly chilly week that demands a pot of white chicken chili! Creamy, comforting, and even better the next day (if it lasts that long). Bonus points if you serve it with honey cornbread!
Reading | The Third Gilmore Girl by Kelly Bishop
Kelly Bishop’s memoir feels like catching up with an old friend who has stories. It’s sharp, funny, and sentimental — a perfect, cozy read for anyone who’s ever loved a quick-witted woman with great taste and better one-liners.
Watching | Now You See Me Movies
Revisiting this magician-meets-heist series has been pure escapism — clever, fast-paced, and just the right amount of twisty. In light of the recent Louvre heist news (well, at least for me — Carter was clueless until I filled him in DAYS later) and with the third installment hitting theaters on November 14, it felt like the perfect time to rewatch.
Listening | Ask Not: The Kennedys and the Women They Destroyed by Maureen Callahan
I’ve been completely absorbed by Maureen Callahan’s Ask Not, a sharp, unflinching look at the Kennedy dynasty through the women whose lives were tangled in its orbit — and often upended by it. It’s part history, part reckoning, and entirely fascinating. Callahan peels back the myth of Camelot with precision and empathy, and it’s impossible to stop listening once you start.
Trying | Joy 101
I’ve been testing out the free month of Hoda Kotb’s new Joy 101 app, and it’s quickly becoming part of my morning ritual. It has the meditation and mindfulness features I already love from other apps — but with Hoda’s signature warmth woven through. There’s movement, uplifting quotes, prayers, personal reflections, and those small nudges that shift your perspective. When I saw her earlier this week, Hoda said that “happiness is something that happens to you, but joy is something that exists within you” — and that idea anchors the app’s entire experience.
Champagne | MICHELE Deco Mid Watch
Timeless, glimmering, and just the right amount of statement. This piece has been a staple on my wrist since it was lovingly gifted to me by my Mom, and I know it will be a part of my collection forever.
Frites | Amazon Small Vintage Watch
I found a $30 Amazon version that looks identical to a certain luxury icon. You’d never know the difference unless you were inches away.
