Your January Appointments
Because the art of romanticizing your life deserves a place in your calendar.
January doesn’t ask for reinvention — it asks for refinement.
This is the month of clean edges and quiet momentum, of mornings that feel a little lighter and evenings that invite intention. Think less spectacle, more structure; fewer resolutions, better rituals. These January appointments are designed to steady the pace, bring order where it’s needed, and leave room for small luxuries that make the days feel considered.
Your January Appointments
). Experiment with a gentle health reset—plant-forward, vegan, or a ProLon-style pause (curiosity, not punishment).
). Treat yourself to a provisions restock at your fancy specialty foods store.
If you’re in Atlanta, may I recommend Alon’s or Lucy’s Market?
). Get outside once this week; a long walk in cold, honest air is true rejuvenation.
). If therapy has crossed your mind even once, book the appointment.
). Explore Pinterest for outfit inspiration amidst this awkward, slippery in-between season.
). Edit your pantry (at least what is expired).
). Create a nighttime mocktail that feels ceremonial!
). Index your closet in anticipation for the annual Tuckernuck Sample Sale.
). Update your towels. It seems unsexy, but it will elevate every single day.
). As a content creator this might be self-destructive, but recalibrate your follows. Keep your feed intentional.
). Log your daily spending and review with curiosity; not judgment.
). Buy! New! Pajamas!
). Reorganize your nightstand. Make sure you have dark chocolate in there.
). Conduct a digital detox: Set a timer and unsubscribe from junk emails for an hour.
). Buy a print publication and envelope the pages.
). Schedule all routine appointments for the year (annual physical, dentist, eye exam) in one sitting.
). Conduct an audit of your credit card benefits and make sure you’re taking the fullest advantage.
). Stock your bar with a staple pinot noir. 6-12 bottles of an unoffensive, affordable drink that you can always have ready on hand.
). Update your travel wish list, featuring bucket list locations or hotels.
). Decide on a signature nail color for the year. Mine is Chick Flick Cherry.
). Replace your lip balm with a long-lasting salve.
). Decide on a savings goal and set up an automatic transfer each month to a dedicated account.
). Select a new wallpaper for your phone screen (preferably something that aligns with your New Year’s vision).
). Return to boundary setting. For me, that’s only one school night activity a week.
). Update your résumé, no matter how fulfilled or satisfied you are at work.
). Audit your subscriptions. Think critically about what you need.
). Plan a Q3 vacation.
). However much water you’re drinking, drink 20 ounces more.
). Plan a proper hobby hour — set the table, pour a drink, and spend uninterrupted time with one thing you love (mahjong tiles, needlepoint, a puzzle, a recipe).
). Spend a Saturday at home, cooking a luxurious breakfast and staying in your pajamas until noon.
). Sleep 8 hours each night. Schedule your calendar and priorities accordingly.
