Happy Friday!
It has been one of those weeks, moving briskly between professional obligations, the running of this little publication, and a handful of personal pursuits. All the sweeter, then, that tonight Carter and I depart for one of our most beloved beach resorts, where a full week awaits us, just the two of us. In the spirit of a proper holiday, I’ll be stepping away from my usual content, and there will be no Letter next week. I will miss our weekly correspondence, but I’ll return rested, restored, and, I suspect, brimming with things to tell you!
Until our next correspondence,
xx Lauren
The Lauren Letter will always be free. But if this space has become something you look forward to—a small ritual in your week, a source of inspiration, a reminder to approach life with more intention—you now have the option to support it.
Wearing | Walmart
A confession: this is the first garment I have ever purchased from Walmart! It will not be passed down through generations, but at $21, its quality and silhouette are nothing short of remarkable.
Eating | The Cajun Chicken at Le Bilboquet
There is no finer season at my favorite Atlanta restaurant than October. Yesterday, Carter and I slipped away for an unplanned date and shared the Cajun chicken. Pure, unhurried bliss.
Reading | “How to Fool Your Friends Into Thinking You Hired a Designer,” Vol. 018 of Collected Home by Maggie Wilkerson
Substack is at its best in pieces like this one: generous and sprinkled with expertise. Maggie’s counsel throughout is excellent, but her thoughts on texture are the ones I keep returning to.
Watching | Making Bags: Mulberry, from the V&A
Since acquiring my Mulberry Bayswater, I have become rather devoted to the house’s history and the craftsmanship behind it. This short film from the Victoria and Albert Museum is a lovely glimpse into the atelier.
Listening | Danny Pellegrino
Should you remain unconverted to Danny Pellegrino’s Bravo recaps, allow his current coverage of RHONY and RHOSLC to make the case. Nearly every episode leaves me in tears of laughter, and anticipating his reactions has become my favorite part of watching the shows themselves.
Trying | Morning Coffee in Bed
This week, I took my morning coffee in bed, the Today show murmuring in the background as I reviewed the day’s agenda and correspondence. A small ritual, but a reminder that luxury and romance belong in the most ordinary hours, too.
Champagne | Monogrammed Silk Pillowcase
I have lately developed something of a fixation on monogrammed linens, and this silk iteration offers a beauty ritual as well, kind to both skin and hair overnight!
Frites | Monogrammed Cotton Pillowcase
The same bespoke embroidery, rendered in cotton at a gentler price.

Domino Media Group
Domino Media Group is a public relations firm with a decidedly brand-driven sensibility, working across social media, email marketing, and experiential events for houses in design, lifestyle, and retail. Their feed is admittedly a touch insider for the casual reader, but well worth a follow: they are often first with news from your favorite brands, the events worth attending, and the recommendations that matter around town!
P.S. I promise to always keep The Lauren Letter free as my little exercise of trying to make the world a bit more beautiful. If, in return, you could considering giving this post a “like” or share with a friend, it would just mean the world to me.
