Happy Friday!
Reality TV fans, control your envy: I am heading to Bravo Fan Fest in Charleston today! I am so ready for a weekend with a dear friend filled with nothing but “Bravo, Bravo, f***ing Bravo!”
I cannot wait to report back on all the hilarity, my very first time attending a taping of Watch What Happens Live, and whether Meredith’s wig makes a special surprise appearance. Stay tuned.
Until our next correspondence,
xx Lauren
The Lauren Letter will always be free. But if this space has become something you look forward to—a small ritual in your week, a source of inspiration, a reminder to approach life with more intention—you now have the option to support it.
Wearing | Quince Bella Rigid Straight Jeans
I styled these with a crisp blazer this week and was stopped more times than I could count. I have spent an embarrassing sum on designer denim over the years, so it pains me (only slightly) to confess that a $60 pair has eclipsed them all.
Eating | Lucy’s Market Caprese Quinoa
A detour to the new Lucy’s Market on Piedmont Road yielded a fridge full of staples for the week. Their prepared quinoa salads are a revelation. Add a little chicken breast and you have a weeknight supper that looks far more effortful than it is. I won’t tell if you won’t.
Reading | 28 Ways to Get Hygge When the Sun Sets Before 6 PM by Professor Marina Cooley
Professor Marina Cooley is among my favorite follows on Instagram and on Substack, where she writes Prof Off Duty. This essay has me positively giddy for cozy season. If hygge is not yet part of your vocabulary, consider this your formal introduction. Chambersticks optional, but strongly encouraged!!!
Watching | You Can See Everything
I will be turning this film over in my mind for the rest of my life. It is singular, hilarious, and genuinely terrifying. Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim’s new documentary begins thirty-four days before Elizabeth Holmes reports to prison, when she invites a skeptical crew to film her every move, and then it veers somewhere altogether more unhinged. See it in a full theater; the collective gasps are half the fun.
Listening | “The Parting Glass” by boygenius
The indie supergroup of Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers, and Lucy Dacus and their rendition of the Irish folk ballad “The Parting Glass” has been on repeat since the tune closed out season four of Ted Lasso. It is achingly lovely and best enjoyed with a hot coffee on a crisp autumn morning.
Trying | Engraving from Goldbug Collection
The piece I acquired on my last visit to Charleston has finally arrived, and it is nothing short of exquisite! I now have every intention of engraving each piece of jewelry I own. A word to the wise: Goldbug’s holiday engraving cutoff approaches! Simple engraving takes one to two weeks, and custom pups and silhouettes require four to six. Procrastinators, you’ve been warned!!!
Champagne | Tuckernuck Peridot Cashmere Hannah Turtleneck
A full-blown color infatuation. I already own the Hannah in another shade, and it is that rare thing: boxy and oversized, yet never sloppy. Flattering on absolutely everyone, and as autumnal as a sweater can be!
Frites | Old Navy SoSoft Sport Mock-Neck Shaker Sweater
Nearly the same peridot, for under $25. Can you even!?

Threads and Spreads
A pair of darling friends who work at Tuckernuck, this D.C.-based duo serves up daily outfits, seasonal style edits, gift guides, and food favorites with enviable polish!
P.S. I promise to always keep The Lauren Letter free as my little exercise of trying to make the world a bit more beautiful. If, in return, you could considering giving this post a “like” or share with a friend, it would just mean the world to me.
